We live in a new generation of big nutritional changes. With the new fashion of healthy lifestyle and healthy diet, avocado became a product number one, considered as an extremely nutritive and healthy high class superfood. But not everyone knows the sad truth hidden behind the avocado mass production. The big boom for avocado fruit in european countries caused an irreversible damage to the ecosystem and a suffer to many inhabitants of countries like Chile, Mexico, Peru and Dominican Republic.

Petorca - the region of Chile which is one of the most impacted examples of avocado mass production. The Pinochet's economic revolution, the water privatization and the monopole for water brought a draught to the lands of Petorca provoking a collapse of local family farming and a depopulation to this region. 
With the series of posters "Petorca - the crisis of humanity" I'm trying to introduce the dramatic story of Petorca by showing the process of lands destruction within last 40 years.
